Since Maged is an American citizen, he is entitled to full protection of the US government and the Egyptian government will be held accountable for any harm to him. I contacted the US embassy in Cairo and they are checking into that issue. BTW, to those Muslims who are happy about Maged's disappearance, I have one thing to say to you: Eat Shit

The link you put was back in May but Maged disappeared in July. If the Egyptian government did something to him, this would be so horrific. I really want to cry for this person!
Maged parents, relatives, neighbors, co-workers , or friends have to speak up before reporting the case to the USA State Department. Anyone can access the web site of the Us Embassy in Cairo, International Human Rights,..etc, but facts have to be presented and those people mentioned before must initiate the case.

I think Maged worked for Micro Soft Egypt in Cairo and he had his own driver and lived in Heliopolis in Cairo. Does this help.
I too miss Maged. He was not a hypocrite in his writings and was very critical of evil people whether they were Muslims, Christians, and Jews. This was unlike others who like their kind or race no matter what. He also had a wonderful sense of humor and he used to make me laugh so loudly that my wife thought I was crazy. I hope he is not gone forever.
It seems that the Egyptian government did not manage to delete his web site. So this is both good and bad. it is bad in the sense that it suggests that they seemed to have killed him for his refusal to shut down the site. God I am going crazy here.

I think he lives in Nasr City and his work in Maadi (see the Taxi early article)- My question is: Does Egypt has a telephone directory for residents and business living in cities? If so, someone lives in Egypt can get and search his address and phone number from the phone directory using his name and the city. I feel I am fishing in a cloudy water, any suggestions?

Maged is under arrest in the state security prison, possibly in Torah. He had his american passport confiscated and he is asking for your help. Please contact all human rights organizations in Egypt and the world.
In his writings, he mentioned that he has a sister in Alexandria. Even his sister is not reading our screaming in his blog here. Any one from his parents, relatives, or friends can put full information about him (if he is really in danger) and from that blog we can forward it to the USA Embassy in Cairo and State Department. Contacting these Governmental sites is not the issue, but full information has to be provided to them. Of course, the Egyptian State Security can confiscate his passport , remove his belongings from his residences, and wipe out his records
OK, we do not know exactly what is his address or telephone number, but we have now enough information to seek information from the US embassy in Cairo and the State Dept. in the US.
I have contacted some friends in Egypt to look his name in the phone book, but again is this is his real name.
One thing for sure, he is most likely under arrest by the Egyptian security forces, thus, it might be easier to seek information who has been detained since his last publication?

I think that Maged made a huge mistake when he attacked the Bush's administration. I guess that this is the price one pays for being consistent. Maged was consistent in attacking everyone he saw unfair and unjust, even his fellow Christians. If what I think is true and his American government let him down because of his views, I think we need to make some noise about that-I am so ashamed of my country.
