Do you remember that guy in the picture? It is Nicholas Berg, the first American beheaded by Islamic terrorists in Iraq. Have you ever wondered why Muslims are so dedicated to cutting people’s heads? Qur’an 2:191 “And kill them wherever you find and catch them. Drive them out from where they have turned you out; for Al-Fitnah (polytheism, disbelief, oppression) is worse than slaughter.”
Qur’an 33:60 “Truly, if the Hypocrites stir up sedition, if the agitators in the City do not desist, We shall urge you to go against them and set you over them. Then they will not be able to stay as your neighbors for any length of time. They shall have a curse on them. Whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain without mercy—a fierce slaughter—murdered, a horrible murdering.”
Here is Islamic Hadeeth (oral tradition) that shows the vile and the vindictive nature of Muhammad. It also shows how he sought pleasure by beheading people, especially Jews

We made him taste death with our deadly swords. We sought victory for the religion of the Prophet.”

Ishaq:369 “Thereupon Mas’ud leapt upon Sunayna, one of the Jewish merchants with whom his family had social and commercial relations and killed him. The Muslim’s brother complained, saying, ‘Why did you kill him? You have much fat in you belly from his charity.’ Mas’ud answered, ‘By Allah, had Muhammad ordered me to murder you, my brother, I would have cut off your head.’ Wherein the brother said, ‘Any religion that can bring you to this is indeed wonderful!’ And he accepted Islam.”

There is alot more to the beheading than the conclusion you have come up with. Have you ever asked yourself why? Perhaps if one who's talents should not be wasted on such obscene and terrible writing should know the first rule of good writing and journalism is to find the reason behind it.
Tell me, how do you think the majority of Muslims feel both at home and abraod? Most of them are ashamed of what their fellow followers have done, and why shouldn't they be?
Do you know another religion that has a history of bloody conflict as well? Our very own Christianity, and very much like the Fanatics who behead these poor individuals, they inflicted it upon their own as well.
The Crusades, Spanish inquisition, Bloody Marry, French Revolution, King Henry, Executive order to execute Mormons, the killing of jews, Airian theology, bombings of black churches in the 60s, ect.
All of these actions are connected to Christianity. Most prodominant in many of these is the Catholic church, not that any other sect is innocent of their own atrocities.
So why do they do it? Have your opinion about the actions, but do not let emotion sway evidence, do not let ignorance blind you, see the world for what it is, not what it appears to be.

I have seen the videos and they enrage me as an armed services member. I do not hate Muslims or any other relgion for that matter. I hate those that did this to these people. No human being deserves a death like that. a bullet to the head isn't very dignifying either but it is slightly better than your face lying in a pool of your own blood.
These are all fanatics who did this and they should not reflect the true religion. There is beauty in every belief, just not the ones that impeed people's right to life and happiness.

True Christianity, that of the New Testament, does not espouse violence in any way, shape, or form.
While it is true that the religion is often perverted to violence by the ignorant or power hungry, at least the literary doctrine doesn't call for outright murder.

The Jewish Religious Books are just as nutty and violent as the Koran snippets that are quoted above. I can show you hundreds of passages in the Old Testament and in the Talmud that make Mohammed and his followers look like sweet little old ladies.
I have lived amongst Muslims for 20 years and have never met one who actually believed any of the hard-core passages you quote above.
This is all just an attempt to demonize Islam to continue making war against the Islamic World on behalf of Israel.

People in the bible did do some violent things, but not all of them were condoned, or commanded, and those which were were not, and therefore we suffer what we are suffering by islam TODAY. Ha! All of you religious fanatics, it shouldn't be about reading rhetoric and taking the worst of what you read and saying this is all it represents. Use your brains, what is good and what is evil should be an inherent part of us. Is it good to kill someone who offers us no physical harm, but disagrees with our beliefs? No, live and let live unless the other person is doing physical harm to any human being other than in self-defense, or just retribution for harm that was done by the person to others. Is it good to kill someone who is a mass murderer? Absolutely!!! Emphatically, YES! Do I need to read something in a book that tells me this, be it the bible or the koran or the talmud or some other book written by men and passed off as written by God--NO. If you need to have a religious book to guide your moral compass, than there is something lacking in your makeup that can never be entirely created from a book. If your religious book suggests sick random violence is acceptable simply due to someone's race, creed or religion, than revise the book--God doesn't hold a pen or type, so make your own choices, and if they are bad, expect to recieve the justice you deserve.

Atheism is gaining membership faster than any religion ever had at any period in time. Good on ya. I think you are courageous for speaking out in a country which is roughly 90% Muslim - knowing full well the possible consequences. While Islamic terrorism is becoming an issue here in Australia, nowhere will one hear the media reporting what the Koran says about non-believers - that if one is to kill the infidel, then one is assured a place in Paradise. Possibly because everyone is too afraid of the defamation laws. And do Muslims who love a peaceful and quiet life truly understand what their religion *truly* teaches? I think not. The only thing I can think of (apart from the Holocaust & the Pol Pot regime. Hmmm, then again, there was `Idiot Amin' in Uganda . . . ) that makes this pale into insignificance by comparison is the Inquisition, courtesy of the Papacy. None of these principles of force reflect the character of God, but instead are a reflection of the character of Satan.

If the Muslim alleged prophet went on a journey to Heaven to visit God about reducing the number of prayers that they must say each day, then Muslims today would not call my God Allah (because the Muslim prophet apparently met Jesus Christ and Moses in Heaven on these quests). Instead Muslims around the world today, would call God by His real name which is written in English as YHWH; as this is the God of Moses (who wrote the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai, as told to do by God), and whom is also the God of Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ben Yosef -Jesus of Nazareth) with His Father being in Heaven, as Jesus is The Son of God; both Jesus and Moses told people to follow the Ten Commandments, with the first Commandment being along the lines of, 'have no other god before Me'.
Jesus and Moses are sons on the family line of King David, and so where the prophets, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. All of those men have been recognised as prophets in Islam, so why do Muslims not listen to what these prophets had to say? Maybe because in their holy book, it talks of how to properly groom children for sexual gratification, and makes it the oldest book on paedophilia in the world, and strikes me as strange that this religion is upheld as a freedom to choose to follow in a democratic country such as mine, being Australia.
